I speak truth, look into your trashcan, how many advertisement flyers do you see in there?…
Your inbox, how many of these so-called “marketing” emails do you ignore? It's countless.
And this happens because of this common mistake: LACK OF PERSONALITY.
And when I mean “personality” I mean two things, one. A person talking to another, two. An emotional drive.
Let me explain. Let's say you receive a message from your spouse, saying the house just caught on fire and the children are in danger,
how would you react to that? …you’ll completely ignore everything else that's happening and focus on this matter right?
That's the power of personality, that's an emotional drive, that's one person talking to another.
And all these are what you should look out to replicate when marketing your product or service.
Keep it personal and try to spark an emotional response.
One way you can do this is by asking yourself this question: “what can I do or say that'll make this person call me to thank me or to insult me?”
This would immediately spark an emotion response —and the truth is, emotions are what drive people to take action.
This is how big companies keep you coming back for their products. Reverse engineer and find ways to replicate in you specific industry.
